Writing Samples

At my first rotation, I was tasked to evaluate the facility's procurement, sanitation, and quality assessment strategies. This included several SWOT analyses, memos, and menu building.
Gestational Diabetes holds a special place in my heart. It was the topic of many papers in undergrad, and the focus of my thesis project in graduate school. Read my preliminary argument for incorporating registered dietitian nutritionists in the care programs for individuals at high risk of gestational diabetes.

Design Samples

There are thousands of cookbooks out there, but not enough that tackle the complex reality of limited time and cost for first responders. Take a look at the meat-and-potatoes staple recipe that I developed for Megan Lautz's FIREHOUSE FRESH digital cookbook, as well as the cost analysis I did in its development.
As the intern at University of Maryland Dining Center, I developed multiple infographics and educational materials for the university students - as well as a favorite winter recipe card for kitchen staff to take home!

Have you ever considered how to educate groups of people that may not understand written word? At my first rotation, my population was intellectually disabled and generally could not read complex sentences. This video that I developed showcases how the community dietitian provides nutrition education to her clients without written word.


Do you know how involved skilled nursing and rehab facilities are with pressure injuries? Once called decubitus ulcers or bed sores, these injuries can have a significant effect on nutrient metabolism. I drafted a tracking spreadsheet to visually summarize at-risk residents and points for nutrition care intervention.
The nursing manager at the site has ideas on how to improve it with nursing roles and workload assistance.
